National Recycle Day Celebration

The Green Connection held a National Recycle Day Celebration on November 15, 2008, featuring a FREE leaf drop off for Scituate residents, a DRAWING to win a cord of wood for Fall '08 and mulch or loam for Spring '09 (congratulations to VIRGINIA HANSEL and RICHARD CLAY, both of Scituate) , and a FUN LEAF PILE JUMP for the kids with 3/4 acre of leaves! We also premiered our Litterbug Service, a unique recycling service that helps you be LITTER FREE! Check out the photos of the great time that was had by all.

The Green Connection extends a sincere thank you to the students from Sacred Heart High School, Scituate High School, Scituate Junior High School and the South Shore Vocational Technical High School who so generously donated their time as volunteers during our National Recycle Day event. By participating in our outing, your efforts assisted in promoting awareness and education on sustainable landscaping alternatives and the value of green waste recycling. We truly appreciate your energy and enthusiasm in giving back to the community and environment!
